letshavefun3 yep u can, u can qual for syd or Hobart but need to have lst by the wed before aust open starts ( so 2 nd rnd) to play quales, if u r on the list. Recently, s jones last year had to not accept wc into qd bc she was still playing in Hobart. Salerni maybe 6 years ago had o pwd from qd after getting to qrts in Hobart and maybe in 2000 or 2001 Olga barabanshikova wd from qd as she got into semis in Sydney....but lost that match to hignis
