Aussie AO Wildcard play-off in December
The Australian Open Play-off draws for 2012 are taking shape, with James Duckworth and Olivia Rogowska expected to head the men’s and women’s events respectively.
The majority of slots for the 16-player knockout fields have been confirmed ahead of the play-off, the crown jewel event of the December Showdown at Melbourne Park.
The winners gain prized wildcards into the main draw of Australian Open 2013.

Last year the tournament allocated 8 MDWC's. If it is the same as last year the WC Allocations could be:
1. Asia-Pacific WC - Zhang Yuxuan
2. Australian WC Playoff Winner
3. USA WC Playoff Winner
4. French Selection(could be - Fortez Gacon, Feuerstien, Garcia, Razzano, or Rezai)
5-8. Tournament Selections(could be - Rogowska*, Barty*, Rodionova, Jones, Gajdosova, Adamczak, and/or Dokic.
QWC will probably be: 2 or 3 non-Australian players -and- Bobusic, Peers, Holland, Moore, Patterson, and/or Sanders.
Other possibilities though...

pretty sure they won't give to Adamczak unless if she wins AO WC playoff. Hardly impressive lately.
Azra definitely deserves a Q one. I think Townsend also gets a Q WC.
