Re: Ana Ivanovic 2013 schedule
No tournaments which award actual ranking points before AO. Meh, not a great decision.

Re: Ana Ivanovic 2013 schedule
Maybe Ana has faith that she will get good enough results to A) get in the top 10 and B) make YEC, without playing lots of tournaments for once
But looking further forward, she's entered Pattaya ( ) and Doha/Dubai. I think she could have A) Skipped Pattaya and B) chosen one of Dubai/Doha.

Re: Ana Ivanovic 2013 schedule
Ana revealed her schedule for 2013.
She start's in Perth at Hopman cup with Nole, then Australia Open.
Then she's going to Asia(Pattaya city, Doha and Dubai), next she'll be in North America(Miami and Indian Wells). In the April she won't play any tour . In may she start a clay season(Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros) then Wimbledon. She will continue 2013. in US and Canada(Montreal, Cinncinati and US Open). And at end she'll be in Tokyo and Bejing...
My opinion: this schedule has just 15 tours(4 less than in 2012) I hope she will increase it to 20, of course if she want's to be in top 10 she MUST play more tours...

Re: Ana Ivanovic 2013 schedule
I'm sure Ana will add tournaments.. probably Stuttgart, Eastbourne, San Diego and some tournament after Beijing.

I hope so, It would be good to add Birmingham, New Heaven, Linz and Kremlin cup it would be enough. She could win Pattaya, I'm sure. And 1 SFs at Grand Slams or 2 QFs, and some premier semis Ana will be in Istanbul

On her site it is said that she will add more tournaments in next couple of months. Surely, she will do it. This schedule is just basic plan. If she had played another 2 internationals more this year she would be #11 now, that is for sure. She would maybe won one and go far at another. But it is ok. She will play more in 2013, although I believe it is not easy at all to travel so much.
Good luck Ana.
It would be amazing if she would start her 2013 season with a Hopman cup title with Novak, it would increase her self confidence.

Re: Ana Ivanovic 2013 schedule
She pretty much only put in the ones that she has to play according to WTA rules I'm pretty sure she'll add more.

Re: Ana Ivanovic 2013 schedule
Ana should really be playing at the minimum, three International tournaments. It's just free points up for grabs and she needs them for a push to the top 10.

I can't believe she's not playing Sydney This girl is something else when it comes to her scheduling.

Well, points wise it won't help for Melbourne so I'm not too fussed. Although the field is going to be much weaker than in previous years thanks to Brisbane's new status + increased prize money. Hopman Cup is good because we know she will be getting 3, probably 4 matches - but she won't know how her form stacks up with the top players because they'll all be in Brisbane.
