Kimiko will need a WC to enter the MD as she's #6 ALT to MD. Due to her Dubai win, she'd be 2nd seed in qualies anyway.

It will be very nice of Shenzhen announcing like below and really made her play from Q. 
I think they are waiting, in case, any Top player suddenly apply for WC
but let's hope Kimiko has quite a chance here.
...also maybe not a bad idea starting from Q since she could get Bartoli in MD R1
and fail to use Shenzhen as worm up tourney.
