Yes. Using Matchstat's ranking... which allocates 100 units for a player when they are a favourite and 50 for when they are the underdog... the Top 10 play out like this...

This is going to be a quite weird poll, as it outcome will contradict itself. Suppose that a player XX "wins", i.e. she's been voted the "most overrated" WTA player this year. This will show that XX is rated low by this forum. If she happens to be high-ranked (and remember that the ranking reflects players's on-court results and not subjective opinions) - then she'll be proven to be strongly underrated, at least by this site.

Shvedova golden set, so what?

Torro-Flor impressive win streak no doubt, but Dellaqua had a similar one. You're both still irrelevant. Off of clay you were eaten alive by distinctly average players like Morita and Kostova.

Barthel, post hardcourt there was nothing impressive. I recall her being the real number two....

She won 4 tournaments. She also won more Grand Slam matches than any other on the tour other than Serena, Azarenka and Sharapova.

The fact that you don't understand how she reached number 6 in the rankings don't think she deserved that position rather supports the view that she is underrated.

I can't believe someone mentioned Lepchenko

I think people need to realize that overrated and overranked are not the same, and in Varvara's case, they are exactly the opposite.

Nobody is ever overranked anyway because players don't get ranking points as the result of a public vote but have to earn them week in week out on the tour.

Julia Görges… Everyone still talks about her as a future talent with major potential. I'm not saying it isn't true but she did ZERO to show that in 2012 (and really since winning Stuttgart).
