Someone is going to have to guide me thru twitter. Its not that big in Australia and I have no idea how to use it. If someone who uses it a lot wouldnt mind posting or PM-ing me the basics that would be awesome.

None of my friends use it + I think Im just outside that generation (Im 25) that are really into twitter. FB is much bigger IMO anyway for my sort of age group in Australia.

anyway its weird, i used facebook all the time, and slowly i'm finding that i check twitter first each day because its much more informative. i keep facebook for close family and friends and twitter for the wider world

well some do start out young
you basically follow people you like, retweet means you can retweet someones comment if you like it. favourite means you favourite the tweet. to include a user in your tweet you put @username and to hashtag you include a # with you tag. you can see whats trending too on the left hand panel which is basically a barometer for the most popular topics being discussed on twitter, whether worldwide or nationally

I used to not understand twitter at all, months before I joined it, then I tried to register and started following (I remember my first follows were Rafa, Vika, Caro and Nole I just joined for the tennis players) and after that it all become very clear
