Re: Kim Clijsters sets farewell match
I love Kim but she's well and truly re-written the defintion of the word 'farewell'

Not at all, but when it's advertised as her 123959302937564th "farewell" match, then don't expect everyone to take it so seriously.

Exactly. Fucking Wimbledon Roof.
Of course, she's going to play an exho. She's got to buy all of Belgium more alcohol so she can feel the sensation of being loved and wanted. But this time she better remember to sit her ass down and stay retired. And maybe do tv with Justine.

Re: Kim Clijsters sets farewell match
Between the two Belgians, we get a normal-length farewell, I guess.

Nobody is hating on her. Poking fun at someone is not the same as hating someone. If you can't see that I fear for you, always so uptight.

Re: Kim Clijsters sets farewell match
so many posters on here are complete twats, i'd quote them all but i cant be arsed. This has been planned for ages and in case you lived on the moon or are as pig shit thick as you all seem this exho at this time of year has happened the last 2 years. It normally marks the start of Kim's training and year, but this time it will be to say goodbye to all her fans.
No doubt there will be 15,000 people there, but you can all take the piss out of it when Beijing and most other tournaments cant even get a crowd a tenth of that.

Re: Kim Clijsters sets farewell match
This is a kinda tricky thing for any opponent. I mean...ya kinda gotta lose, don't you? The crowd won't be real happy if you don't...plus she's SO nice...

LOL, the issue isn't the exho happening the issue is calling it a farewell match. When it is obvious to anyone that she will be playing an exho in the future.

Re: Kim Clijsters sets farewell match
It's just the press dubbing it a farewell match. It's the same exhibition she plays every year, now it just happens to be her last one.
And yes, Belgium absolutely loves Kim, so if they want to make a big show out of it, they should.
