I agree, she was a bit patchy. Second set it looked like she was hitting GOAT form then she started making random backhand errors. Errani made her work hard for each point though, so having to play 1, 2, 3 extra shots gives more chance to make an error. Sam was taking notes

Equally she played some really good stuff, and it was a fun match to watch with lots of good rallies.

Similar match tomorrow .. the difference being that Agnieszka or Caroline both have better first serves than Sara but neither are as good tactically.

The ranking takes care of itself. If Vika wins another major this year she has a very good shot at getting it back. Just concentrate on playing your best tennis when it matters.

The only sad/annoying thing about Vika losing the number one ranking to Serena (which really isn't a loss) is the haters in GM. And those annoying threads by Na-GOAT which are clearly past their peak.

I am quite optimistic that Vika will regain her # 1 ranking sometimes this year. There are lots of titles and ranking points left to win like 3 Grand Slam tournaments and 4 Premier Mandatory tournaments. Like in Doha and other forthcoming tournaments Vika and Serena should be two top-seeded players who won´t play against each other before the finals. With good performances and with a little luck there will be only two #1 players in 2013......and Vika has all chances to defend her title in Doha...

I think Vika has handled very well the pressures of being world #1. The only downside must be that some players get extra boost when they play against the #1 player like Dominika Cibulkova.....but in most cases Vika lets her racquet do the talking and win eventually close matches.

Damn Caroline let us down again. It´s Aga again in semifinals......
