I expected Vika to win, Maria played very well i read. They'll probably meet many times next year as well, interesting to see how things will develop then. Vika had a great year, WD

I'm glad this year is in the books. We're going to need a good rest (along with our Queen of Fuckery) before the Unholy Defense of all that is Fuckery come January.

And on a sidenote, I might be able to get my schoolwork done.

Superb season, i see no reason the next will be any worse. (Injuries is the one factor that could change that).

Just a small complaint, they should change the scheduling for the wta championships. A couple of more days to let them get some rest.

It's weird because the moment Vika won the AO, and actually the AO in general, doesn't seem like it happened 9 months ago. Still very fresh in my memory.

I was overly harsh on her for playing so below her usual form, it's clear she's fatigued and needs to freshen up mentally. Can't let that loss diminish her achievements this season, not at all.

Delighted about Victoria season : I would have loved Victoria to end the season with the YEC trophy but she was exhausted and wasn't at her normal level vs the one she usually beat so easily on hard courts but hey I can't have everything : yet she could win the US Open if she learned how to close OUT matches even against "giants" : time for her to sort out her mental block or I don't know how to call that against SW : SW is not invincible far from that : just ask Henin and Hingis for example... Even a world-class team as Barcelona has weaknesses... Anyway, I won't go further with the case SW as I forever strongly disliked her and forever will like her sister. She gave me more that I expected from her at the beginning of the season so I really can't complain much at all... Have a great off-season and come back fresher than ever because you'll have a lot of points to defend and loads of trophy to begin with Sydney and the Australian Open.

If people here think I'm a glory Hunter, a fake Vika fan or a bandwagonner : their issue, not mine !

She did the right thing, playing for YE #1 over the YEC.

it seemed Vika was happy to secure the YE #1 and lose the SF to get a slightly earlier start to the off-season, and if she is happy with it, well so am I. 2012 was much better than I thought it would be before the season started, so I have no complaints what so ever about her losing to Maria. Maria played well by the way. I hope she'll continue her awesomeness in 2013 and maybe improve. I don't mean beating the 26 winning streak, taking 2 slams etc (though it would be nice), but improve serve, not having to withdraw from certain events etc.
She'll lose the number 1 ranking in January I am certain, but hopefully it won't bother her, but just make her more hungry.
