Oh come on, she's got midget Falconi next in doubles, they should romp it in!

Unbelievable! One of our girls closes out a tough 3 setter! Wagland wins 36 75 75! Even saved bp's serving for it

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Who is she? Good win
ALso, Olivia Tjandramulia won her 1st round 3 & 3. Good result for the 16s champ, joing Sara Tomic and Wagland through to the next roud.
Disappointed that Hon went down meekly in the final two sets of her first round. Cabrera also got smoked 2 & 2. Tough 3 set losses for Bains & Stojic as well!

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Woolcock just went down in a tough 3 setter to the 5th seed, a girl who Tomic thrashed last week.
Hopefully Hives can win her match and make it four girls into R2.

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Watched the first set of Bains yesterday and was thinking to myself what's all the fuss about, she was slow and spraying shots everywhere, glad she lifted her game after I left. Sara was looking good and fighting hard in the bits and pieces I saw of her. Rischbeith started well also, but got a bit tight in the end and struggled with the wind in the third set, a shame as she was playing some very nice tennis.
Well done to Dani and Olivia.... was hoping Maddi Inglis may have been given a shot here, had a good match against the top seed in Traralgon last week....not that I am biased towards WA players at all hehe

Barty/Dellacqua through to the QF of the AO Doubles, def 14th seeds Grandin/Uhlirova 7-6 (3) 6-3.
They play Pavlyuchenkova/Safarova next; should be winnable.

Amazing result for Casey and Ashleigh. Especially for Ash - a QF in her doubles grand slam debut is quite remarkable.
And yes their QF should be very winnable.

Maddison opted to play a G4 in New Zealand instead. Maybe she thought she take some easy point to get her ranking up.

Good win. It is nice to see Barty having success in doubles with different partner.
She will break in the top 100 in doubles after AO

Ash/Casey on soon.
If they win this, they will play Lepchenko/S.Zheng
What a great opportunity for a final
