Poor Monique. I really hope she can win tomorrow. But her record doesn't fill me with confidence:
I checked her stats and she has only ever won 1 match in AO qualifying and that was in...1999(!). She was just 15 years old. Since then she has lost in the 1st round 8 times. That's a 1-9 record in qualies and a 1-3 record in the main draw. Melbourne hasn't been good to her, has it?  |

I forgot about that  wow. Completely off topic but I was looking through Wheeler's results the other day, man she had some good wins. She beat Errani didn't mean much back then but pretty cool now.

Yeah Wheelz definately made the most of her speed around the court!! Miss her! 
Those records for Mon, Jarka and Trudi  Casey's AO record was also terrible until her run to the 4th round a few years back... |

Yes, not a happy hunting ground for Mon. But she'll no doubt have us getting out hopes up when she takes the first set.
Though I would love in particular for her and Sally to get wins. They both need a kick start - and the 50pts will come in very handy.
Yes, some good chances here for the Aussies and will be a great day to watch with 11 playing. Im chucking a sickie and getting down there to watch. Keen to see those that I havent seen live: Azra, Abbie and Priscilla.

I may go on Friday as well. Depends if I can be arsed.
After some research, I've found that this is the most we've had in a qualy draw since 2003. We had 11 back then as well. Surely a few wins have to come out of this. We don't ask for much do we? |
