Best guess- Hon, Cabrera, Woolcock, and whoever doesn't choke in the last pair, who have had mixed form lately. Aussie battler vs TA favourite. Hadzic until recently was the most consistent, though a "pattern" player and can be predictable, eg wide serve setup followed by side to side tram line alternate, to set up or force errors. Usually consistent temperament so can execute over and over. Sanders battled injury during the year, lefty but doesn't seem to have the coupled heqvy plus curvy side or out spin like others I've seen on tour (Kvitova, Safarova), and to capitalise on that as a major weapon. Could be kinda flat but not too sure as have not seen enough times? Can anyone confirm? Needs development either way. Perhaps limited by height, but seems to work hard. Hopefully a good match either way, good luck girls!

I seen a bit of Storm, she has powerful groundstrokes but has poor control.

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Looks like Azra found her form again:
18s QF: Hadzic def. Sanders 6-2 6-2
Other results:
Hon def. Hives 7-6 6-1
Myers def. Cabrera 2-6 6-2 7-6
Go Abbie!
Edit:
final result is a minor upset - Keir def. Woolcock 3-6 6-3 7-5

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Storm can just not beat Azra, huh?
In 14s -
Pits d. Ruffels 6-4 6-4
Mendez d. Huang 6-1 5-7 6-1
Aiava d. Hule 6-2 6-3
Inglis d. Bollweg 6-3 6-1

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
So did Abbie or Lizette win?
I'd say that's a pretty big upset win for Keir and a massive turnaround in form for Hadzic who barely scraped into the QF's against Sanders who cruized during her RR matches.
Pretty much expected 14's results although I thought Huang might go further after almost beating Pits in last weeks teams event.

Ashley Wasn't expecting that one.
Big turnaround there from Azra. Quite surprised with that scoreline. She's the one to beat now

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Looks like Abbie did win her QF. Azra is really the only one of these girls who will probably be considered for a QWC for AO so lots to play for for the other three girls.

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Surely it'll be a Myers/Hadzic final now... so that would mean Abbie would be in the WC playoff, right?

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Abbie is on the list at the moment anyway... so if it's a Azra v Abbie final do they have a 3rd and 4th place match to decide who enters the play-off? nice turn around for Azra anyway, Storm must be a good match-up for her

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
If Sacha isn't playing then there are 2 spots, Hon and Keir or Keir and Woolcock?

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
Storm
Good to see Azra snap back into form, hopefully she can win this, or Myers..... I wouldn't like to see the other two in AO qualies at this stage as I think it would be wasted on them....Hon would probably be ready to step up for ao qualies 2014 (IMO)

Re: December Showdown & 2013 Summer Events
If it's a Myers/Hadzic final, then I'll assume that they will just give the remaining spots away to whoever they see fit.
But if Keir or Hon manage to make the final, then they will get a spot in the play off.
