The only fail was Na Fail assuming Serena would not play... that was the biggest fail, he has a point if WTA did not announce that Karo was not in Sofia, and start calling it Sofia, fair enough you want to use SEWTA because its still on the drawsheet but this is an actual place...

So you have Petrova, Vinci, Kirilenko and Pironkova already confirmed and still 4 more spots available. I do believe there was an article some days ago (in Bulgarian media) in a site, which is close to the TOC organizers, that said Wozniacki is still yet to confirm her participation.
Funny thing is there are some big posters in Sofia, boosting the forthcoming TOC, that show Azarenka and Ivanovic when they are definitely not taking part in it.

What exactly was Petrova's career breakthrough in 2012?
She has been to #3, swept the 2006 clay season, and beat Henin on clay. She made a slam final in doubles but she already did that in 2010.  |
