Re: Garbiñe Muguruza
Thanks Zamboni! Great pics!
we thoroughly practice a natural lifestyle, saying hello to flowers, worshipping many gods.
our clothes are made of bracken, we travel by canoe; we should invent lifejackets...
if we ever come too close and run into the ocean, if we drowned there we'd make it romantic.
our main preoccupation comes from the holy sky; when that blue roof starts falling smashing our worthless lives
we'd run undercover 'till the mankind finds evolution.
Garbiñe's got a really nice opportunity to make a deep run here. If she plays well, she should beat Makarova. Kvitova's looking ragged, now Azarenka is out. This quarter is totally up for grabs. Put it this way--the odds are a lot shorter now than they were a couple of days ago.
Lost to Makarova, in a tight three-setter, 26 76(3) 46. Having her away from the tour will be bittersweet. Good that she is preventing future injury with the surgery, but bad that it stops her momentum when she's playing the best tennis of her career!
Well, best in getting her healed and ready for 2014!
Got drilled in the doubles 1 and 2, so I guess that's it for '13. I saw the last set of the Makarova match and tbh even though she played her way into a 1-5 hole she really should have won it after getting back to 4-5. She's a great fighter, which bodes well for the future. Really sorry to see her out for so long now, but let's hope everything goes as planned and she's back on court ASAP training hard to get ready for a big year in 2014.
