Re: Brave people
That's awful. Do either of you know what happened after the camera stop rolling?
How sad. I'm sure none of them ever imagined what would happen but that path wasn't deep enough once that zorb built up a little momentum.

Zorb went off the cliff and fell for half a mile until coming to complete stop on a frozen lake at the bottom of the gorge. That is, according to Russian reports such as http://lenta.ru/news/2013/01/08/kchr/

Re: Brave people
How horrific. Does the article say what kind of state the survivor is in? I hope s/he's stable at least!

The survivor had minor injuries, is fine and already out of hospital care. Lucky.

Re: Brave people
Wow. One was so lucky and the other was so unlucky. I'm sure this event will be with him/her for a long time. Still, it's good to hear that s/he is physically okay.
Thanks for responding to me, ys.
Edit: and CC too! I hope you're enjoying your time in Russia.

Well, Rest In Peace...
I don't see whats the point of loking yourself into a rolling ball (it looks kinda silly), but I've always admired people who like to do risky things. Some may call them stupid, IMO its really brave.

And some say it is a Darwinist natural selection at work.

Some folks values their own existance, safety and well-being at most.
And other thinks without doing crazy things, life has no sense. Im definetly closer to the second option.

Re: Brave people
I don't understand how the person would have died unless the thing exploded? It that what happened?
How did he'she ever manage to come loose from their restraints if that wasn't the case?
I would do zorbing but I'm not sure I'd do it on the edge of a cliff.

Re: Brave people
The good news is the Russians are producing more babies this year. However, we do not know the sex ratio of the new births.
Currently, the life expectancy of a Russian male is about the same as an Indian male.
