Re: The end of the year thread (Moscow, Istanbul, Toronto EXHO)
It's great that she made the SF round this year. During/after the American HC season I was worried her form would be subpar till the end of the year, but she picked it up and has 2 remarkable results to back it up. But I think she was in her best form in the first four months of this year and maybe during off season she'll rest and work well enough to go back there or possibly even higher.
Hopefully Serena treats it tomorrow more like an exhibition than a competitive match, it'd be bad to be

Re: The end of the year thread (Moscow, Istanbul, Toronto EXHO)
Her goal is already achieved, as she wanted to reach the semifinals. Now she will have to fight and give the best she can still produce, probably not enough unfortunately to really threat Serena. But a good fight at least would be satisfying

By the way, today's win over Errani was Aga's 30th victory against a top 10 player

Re: The end of the year thread (Moscow, Istanbul, Toronto EXHO)
I've just finished watching a replay of yesterday's match. I'm so proud of her. Errani was playing out of her mind, but Agnieszka kept fighting till the very end. Even though you could see she's dead tired
It was a pleasure to be her fan during this season.
Nothing to lose against Serena now.

Re: The end of the year thread (Moscow, Istanbul, Toronto EXHO)
Well done, Aga !
Errani is incredibly annoying. Her game and her grunt/scream. Aga had a lot of problems with her topspin that pushed Aga back and out of the court. Thank God Aga won the important points. Mentally very strong and what a great fight against the wall. Very proud of Aga. Many fantastic points from Aga, she is so smart. I loved the successful net attacks. Such a joy to watch.

Re: The end of the year thread (Moscow, Istanbul, Toronto EXHO)
Aga
No shame losing to Serena, the eventual champion and best player in the world. Nice handshake and words from Serena at the net. Aga can be very proud of her week, reaching YEC SF for the first time. I really enjoyed her tennis, the matches against Sharapova and Errani were impressive. Aga is so smart, reminds me so much of Martina Hingis.
