Legendary Swiss tennis player Martina Hingis has arrived in Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Republican Tennis Federation. She held a master class for tennis players from different generations, representing the Almaty branch of the Academy «Team Kazakhstan». Martina Hingis is a five-time winner of the Grand Slam singles titles; the holder of Grand Slam doubles title of 1998. For a total of 209 weeks, she was holding the title of the WTA number one player in 1997, 1999, and 2000. In 2007, Martina Hingis announced her retirement from sports. The purpose of the master class was to get Kazakhstan’s tennis acquainted with the celebrity tennis player, who could share her experiences and knowledge. The children saw the star on the court and showed their ability to play with the master. The Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan regularly conducts master classes for young athletes with the participation of male and female members of the national tennis team, as well as with well-known athletes from abroad. Martina Hingis thanked the Kazakh Tennis Federation for the invitation. She said she had looked at Kazakhstan’s tennis players and was pleased with their game noting their great potential. She also mentioned that Kazakhstan did a lot for the development of tennis, which is the most important for athletes to succeed.

Wow, that's amazing. Kazakhstan is really going all out to produce new tennis legends. First they buy Sesil, and now they pay Legend to teach her how to play.

The new generation is coming. If she can just instill 1/1000th of her talent and ability, they will all win slams.

She should teach how to construct points to those potential BBBs (with shrieks) and pushers.
