Jagged Little Pill Vs. 21 - The Singles
Both hugely successful albums for Alanis and Adele and IMO have some similarities on how it is about their ex lovers. Inspired by Born this way vs Femme Fatale and this http://pulsemusic.proboards.com/inde...&thread=115828
One By One - Pick Your Favorite From Each Selection:
You Oughta Know Vs. Rolling In The Deep
Hand In My Pocket Vs. Someone Like You
Ironic Vs. Set Fire To The Rain
You Learn Vs. Rumour Has It
Head Over Feet Vs. Turning Tables

You Oughta Know Vs. Rolling In The Deep
Hand In My Pocket Vs. Someone Like You
Ironic Vs. Set Fire To The Rain - Bad match up, Ironic would've beaten any of the other Adele songs.
You Learn Vs. Rumour Has It
Head Over Feet Vs. Turning Tables

Adele's biggest songs are better than everything else but overall Alanis had a better album.

Jagged Little Pill is the business one of the albums you can play right through and every song is great. Shame none of Alanis other albums have come close . 21 is good too but I think it's success is way over blown compared with JLP

Too easy. I've just been listening to "You Learn" a lot lately. The chorus and her falsetto's on "you *loo-oose* you learn". Beautiful

Yes, it's hard because I've always liked Alanis but she has a few wretched songs, like Hand In My Pocket for me.
When I first heard Rolling In The Deep it was on a Canadian station that, obviously, plays a lot of Canadian artists and I thought I'd stumbled upon a gem that wouldn't be shoved down my throat. But that wasn't the case; Adele wasn't Canadian at all, she blew up like a nuclear bomb, she reached the saturation point with me very quickly and now I can't listen to any of her songs. That never happened with Alanis.

agree. Alanis defined a generation. I can't listen to that album without feeling everything I felt at that time. It's just one of those things.

Re: Jagged Little Pill Vs. 21 - The Singles
I remember the joke at the time of "You Oughta Know" was "I bet Alanis gets asked out to a lot of movies"
