It would be Aza. Actually at RG against Vika I would put my money on Sam.

Aza is actually the only one she has NEVER beaten. Venus had that same record but screwed it up this year in Charleston. I think Sharapova screwed up her record too this year.

Azarenka I guess, especially if it's on clay. She's the least powerful of the three and has the worst serve.

And how many times did they play on clay? Help me here, I can`t count all their meetings on the surface.

I thought you meant against whom in decent form. Because she won twice against Maria when she played like my younger sister and Venus is quarter a player she was once. When these last two play their normal tennis they are awful match-up for Stosur everywhere.

I can`t say the same about Vika thinking about their possible battle in Paris.

Re: Venus, Sharapova and Azarenka: Which would Stosur prefer to play in a slam final?

Sam at her best still lost to Sharapova in Stuttgart on one of her best surfaces. Both Sam's wins are against injured or not motivated tired Masha.... For instance if Sam had advanced to SF at US Open, she would have been beaten there pretty easy by Pova....

True but Venus nor Sharapova have the consistency and the re-directed beauties that Aza has. I think on clay it would still be a problem for stosur as her top spin shots would just sit up for Aza to re-direct into the corners.

didn't stosur come really close to beating azarenka at the US open this year? i'd go for Azarenka.

Vika on clay. Before USO I would have said Maria for a HC but I don't know after that QF.

And injured or unmotivated Maria is still...Maria.

Let's stop making excuses. It cheapens your fave.

Re: Venus, Sharapova and Azarenka: Which would Stosur prefer to play in a slam final?

I think she would have a chance against:

Venus in Paris
Maria in Paris, New York and Australia
Azarenka in Paris

But no way in hell she beats Aza in New York, Australia or on Grass

Stosur will only beat the best in grand slam final, not plebs like these

But seriously, vika on clay is the only realistic match she could win if they are all playeing about 90%

Indeed Aza even on clay isn`t perfect variant, but we are speaking about lesser of three evils, aren`t we?

Well, I think we understood one another.

It's actually quite incredible that all 3 of these girls have collected Sam as punchbag. I can't blame them for wanting a punchbag with an Aussie accent. When they punch it, it says "Good Day Mate!"
