I would've thought Djokovic would have more off-court earnings.

Maybe he jumped ship off Addidas too soon? -- Wasn't he their main guy after Marat Safin died down?

Didn't Uniqlo sign him to a massive contract though. That deal wasn't signed until May this year though so probably isn't heavily reflected in these numbers. Djokovic's off court earnings will be on the up climb anyway. They have probably trebled from what they were 2 years ago and will continue to climb in the next few years.

Re: Forbes:List Of The World's Highest-Paid Tennis Players 2012

Sergio Tacchini dumped everyone they had to pay Djokovic then they couldn't pay him or something hence he is now with Uniqlo.

Hardly a shock a non slam winner (Woz) earning more than slam winner (Vika) the whole 1997-2001 WTA was like this. Kournikova was whipping everyone's ass in the earnings category. Sure Woz is no Anna but this isn't a new phenomenon.

Re: Forbes:List Of The World's Highest-Paid Tennis Players 2012

Vika's money is still to come. Her agent, Meilen I believe, didn't strike at the right time I guess. The narrative by the French, Wimbledon, and the US Open shifted away from her, and so did the attention

And I'm shocked Ana isn't on this list. I assumed she wouldn't sign anything that expected too much of her for the payout

50 mln for Federer

Tipsarevic should complain again. Even Wozniacki earns more than him Well, I guess even Jankovic earn more than him.

It seem this list's money is earnings in last 12 months, but not only in 2012.

Ana's probably not that far from the list, Vika basically replaced her.

I think Vika's breakthrough in terms of making lots of new fans was the USO. You could see that people were suddenly starting to react very positively to her, how she handled her loss etc.

Just give her more time, it will come. But I'm not sure she's even interested in becoming such a big promo figure like Sharapova, Caro etc. If you look at how secretive she is about her private life, I wouldn't be surprised if she's not willing to do everything just because it pays.

Re: Forbes:List Of The World's Highest-Paid Tennis Players 2012

Azarenka should get a headphone sponsorship, that's a given.
Djokovic can't get that much money because Federer and Nadal overshadow everyone.

Wozniacki's earning will drop in 2013 but she appears to be popular given all the exhibitions she'll play during the off-season.

If Li, Roddick and Murray were from Ukraine, they wouldn't be on the list, let's be honest.
