I did.

Than you can't say men's grunting is less annoying and less loud compared to women, it was 5 hour torture to watch and listen.

it's natural that tonality of women voice is higher. As for prevalence , how many WTA players in top 100 are grunting /shrieking? Not that much if we calculate it. Masha/Vika are just too prominant players but it's not there are 100 Mashas in WTA
As for men , in long rallies in the USO Final after 7-8 shots in rally all the rest were with heavy grunts from both sides (up to 40 shots)

Of course. Sharapova can do it but anyone else can't, right?

Re: Maria Sharapova Supports Grunting Ban
The WTA has no jurisdiction over ATP players, but it will surprise me if the ATP isn't shamed into introducing similar rules once the WTA rules start to kick in. Good for the WTA for taking the initiative here, and not waiting for some impossible deal to be struck across both tours before taking action.

Re: Maria Sharapova Supports Grunting Ban
The whole thing is sexist I believe, surely the length of time players are taking between points is more damaging to the sport than grunting, like time violations need to be enforced more.
Any straw poll I've seen TV channels do always result in most spectators not caring about grunting. Its a media obsession that is all The WTA/ITF is letting the media create the rules.

Yes, you got it... 45 y.o Masha and 43 y.o Vika will be winning Slams in 2032 because will be intimidating their younger opponents with shrieking , whereas their opponents will be silent as fish in the ocean

I have to admit I even feel a grudging respect for the way the WTA has handled this. Basically they seem to have said to Maria: we're prepared to let you off the hook, but you have to play ball with us. Pretty smart really, because if the most famous grunter backs the move, they will probably be able to push the changes through with a minimum of opposition.

Re: Maria Sharapova Supports Grunting Ban
It probably won't affect her anyway, she'll be retired before/if they bring in such a ban !
