Las Vegas R1: Lauren Davis def. Maria Sanchez 2-6 6-3 6-3; Will make top 100 debut!
 I had to post this thread! I am incredibly proud of Lauren and everything she has accomplished. She may not be tall, but she has a lot of heart and makes the best of what she has. A lot of people doubted whether or not she could break through, and I'm so happy she proved them wrong!
To think, a top 100 tennis player who grew up 20 minutes from me... it is so cool! I know I speak for the whole Northeast Ohio Tennis Community when I say we are SO proud of Lauren! Can't wait to see how the rest of her career goes!
Also this is an especially sweet victory because Sanchez beat her 6-1 6-1 in the final of Albuquerque last week!

I think she is gonna end up being another Top 50 player with McHale and Stephens. Happy to see her get into the top 100. I saw her beat Riske at us open qualies and she looked terrible, and than saw her play awesome in the loss to Glushko 2nd round of qualies. She has the ability to be offensive def not strictly defensive.
