She will still be 1000 points over Serena and 500 over Maria in the Race. all of them don't need to drop points for beijing. but Sharapova has to drop 120 points for YEC and Vika has to drop only 1 point or 125 if she decides to play linz and get at least semis. i think only Vika will play tournies after china in linz.

Sharapova 10795
Serena 10400
which means Serena has to win both events YEC and Bejing to get no. 1,
