ich würde die Niederlage im Halbfinale nicht überbewerten, so etwas kommt vor und so schlecht war die Gegnerin nun auch wieder nicht, immerhin hat sie das Turnier mit nur einem Satzverlust gewonnen. Man kann nicht erwarten, dass Andrea nach diesen schrecklichen Verletzungen ganz selbstverständlich dort anknüpfen kann, wo sie Ende 2011 gewesen ist. Hauptsache sie ist gesund, dann bin ich recht optimistisch für 2013, immerhin ist sie jetzt Nummer 126 und hat so gut wie überhaupt nichts im nächsten Jahr zu verteidigen. Ich bin jedenfalls sehr froh, dass sie wieder dabei ist, dies ist nicht nur für sie selbst, sondern für das gesamte deutsche Frauentennis sehr gut.

Nein, da eben auch der australische Tennisverband die WCs verteilt. In Wimbledon ist es halt der Veranstalter und da gehen mehr WCs an Ausländer.
Dazu kommt in Melbourne, dass es dort eine Asien-WC gibt und jeweils eine WC für den französischen Verband und den US Verband.

Ich rechne mit keiner WC für Petkovic, aber ich halte das jetzt auch nicht für so schlimm, wenn sie Quali spielen muss.

Ich will auch keine WCs
Und deine Einschätzung ist genau so wie ich es mir gedacht habe
3 WC sind dadurch ja schon weg an Ausländerinnen
Der Rest geht sicherlich an einheimische

Nö. Bin auch überrascht. Eigentlich gehen die Wildcards an Australierinnen sowie je eine nach Frankreich, Asien und in die USA.

Wir werden's sehen. Man hat ja bei den AO sich auch in Sachen Preisgeld ein ganzes Stück auf die Spieler zubewegt und eingesehen, dass man nicht langfristig machen kann was man will. Da wäre eine WC für Petko sicherlich auch noch mal ein kleines Zeichen in diese Richtung, dass man die Spieler ernst nimmt.

Man darf Petkovic jetzt auch nicht überschätzen. Sie ist beliebt und hätte sicherlich normalerweise dank PR auch eine ganz andere Möglichkeit, auf die Tour zurückzukehren. Aber sie ist andererseits auch kein so großes Zugpferd, als dass ich mir WCs für sie in großer Manier vorstellen kann. Begrenzt ja, aber sicher nicht bei einem Turnier in Australien, wo drei WCs pauschal an Ausländerinnen gehen.
