WWW US Open QF : Sam Stosur versus HC Genius Victoria Azarenka ?
The H2h is 6-0 and Sammy hasn't taken a single set to Victoria on this surface. Their closest match was Los Angeles 2008 Victoria won 6-4 7-6(4) since then Victoria hasn't lost more than 3 games.
Can't see Sammy giving problems to Victoria in her prime on this surface. A routine win for Victoria though Stosur shouldn't be dissatisfied. She would have made the most out of her difficult draw. Let's do this Vika.  |

Sharapova could. She plays that court like it is clay. And I´m not completely writting off Stosur either. She seems so at ease with her game at the US Open, when she is not wasting nine matchpoints against Robson.

Sharapova has her hands full getting past Petrova first.
You`re clearly right, they`re both dangerous opponents. But Vika has been so stable so far, just look at today's match. Tatishvilli made her work for it but she still won with a comfortable scoreline, most other players would have at least dropped a set to her.
I really don't see any of these players hurting her this week. Just Serena, because she's the only one who intimidates her.

I agree that their h2h is pretty lopsided but nothing is ever that certain in SEWTA. Sam has had a much tougher draw than Vika and has come through it pretty well.

Sam will be the under dog, Sam will have the crowd on her side.
