agree that's a teen's disease aka "kissing" disease but maybe tennis players don't kiss? Hum..and you are protected all your life after illness in your youth..
so,i don't understand .
That's my job to diagnose it .

Re: Report: Christina McHale out for rest of the season
they get mono because it is the most stressful individual sport apart from cycling. You really have to control your stress levels and your mind with the grueling schedule in this sport.

Most people have contracted the mononucleosis virus by the time they're adults. However, it doesn't affect people until they become run down through stress. It's understandable that most tennis players would come in contact with the virus given all the travel. Add to this the physical and mental stress of being a professional athlete, and it's easy to see why tennis players are susceptible to the disease.
Most people recover fully after 3 months. Hopefully, Christina will be ready in January.

I hope she recovers quickly. Unlike some others, I like her game and respect her work ethic.

Apparently she recovered quick, She's in the Beijing draw vs Ivanovic first round.

Ajla Tomljanovic was diagnosed with mono right before Australian Open and she still hasn't recovered completely from it.

We will never find out what real impact mono had on Roger. You can say he did recover, but did he really? We will never know how those last several years would have been for him if he hadn't had mono....

Great news! Glad she didn't go down the Soderling route.
