Re: Us Open
Not to bad? I think its a great draw, very winnable. Pauline is in a bad shape.
We can not expect to much, but if she manages to play well after all she can definitely win

Re: Us Open
Obviously, every opponent would be tough.. But this is a very nice draw for Misa
Parmentier is winnable. Going to be tough given Misa's lack of match rhythm, but it's winnable.
Wickmayer/Q doesn't look bad either, but let's focus on R1.
Come on Misa!

Re: US Open. Singles R1 vs. Parmentier
I wrote a preview
http://misakrajicek.tumblr.com/post/...ier-us-open-r1
Quote:
Misa plays Pauline Parmentier in R1 of the US Open. Obviously, every opponent in a GS MD is a tough opponent. But this is a winnable R1. Going to be tough though, considering Misa’s lack of match rhythm. The draw could have been way worse, so we should be pleased.
Who is Parmentier?
Pauline Parmentier is 26 yo., from France and plays righthanded. She has been inside the top100 or just outside the top100 since 2007. She’s quite solid. Not a big name obviously, but being around for so long at the highest level proves that she’s consistent. She has a big service and is decent from the baseline.
Currently she’s ranked #93. She reached a career high of #40 in 2008. Her favourite surface is clay and that’s where she had the most succes on. In 2008 she won her only WTA singles title at Bad Gastein. Last year she won 2 big ITF titles on clay: Marseille (100K) and Biarritz (100K).
This year isn’t her best year. She started 2012 well, with reaching R2 of the Australian Open, Paris and Memphis. She didn’t had good results after these tournaments (reached R2 of Copenhagen). She had some good tournaments at clay. She reached the SF at Strasbourg where she defeated Lisicki, Foretz-Gacon and Panova. After RG she reached the final at Marseille (100K). Other notable result is the SF at Biarritz (100K). HC isn’t her best surface, but she’s capable of playing well at HC. This week, in Dallas, she qualified and reached R2 where she lost against Peng.
H2H:
2010 Monterrey MEX Hard 32 PARMENTIER 6-7(5) 7-6(2) 6-2
Conclusion: a winnable match, but it’s going to be tough for Misa. She’s lacking some match rhythm. If she plays well, she can def. Parmentier. There’s no doubt about that. Still, Misa may be higher ranked but she has nothing to lose. It’s great already to finally see her back competing

Re: US Open. Singles R1 vs. Parmentier
Her doubles partner Cetkovska has withdrawn from the USO.
Don't know if Misa is going to play doubles now.

Well, I was just being cautious
I mean, the draw could have been a lot worse ofcourse. But I wouldn't be suprised if Misa loses this match. She hasn't played for a while. So her 1st match will be tough. Just happy she can play again

Re: US Open. Singles R1 vs. Parmentier & Doubles R1 w/ Parmentier vs. ....
So Misa explained she has dealt with heart problems the last couple of months. That was the reason she wasn't able to play Wimbledon, the Olympics etc. She says it's all fine now. It had something to do with stress as well. Also they found out some other stuff, but not life threatening. She is happy it's all behind her now. Lately she has been training hard and is 100% fit and ready for the USO.
Hope my translation is o.k. Sounds scary though
But I'm sure they checked everthing and she is healthy now
So happy she is able to play again

Re: US Open. Singles R1 vs. Parmentier & Doubles R1 w/ Parmentier vs. Hsieh/Medina
Lost 26/46
Misa was dissapointed after the match and said that she had no rhythm at all.

Re: US Open. Lost Singles R1 vs. Parmentier & Doubles R1 w/ Parmentier vs. Hsieh/Medi
She just lacks match rhythm. Only thing she can do is continue working hard and then hopefully in Quebec she can at least win 1 match.
