Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind

OMG Out of all the possible combinations my two favourite players are drawn with eachother!

Bine's never beaten Sori, but in a slam is the best time to change that stat. I suppose if Bine's lost then atleast it wouldn't be too devastating for me but really I care about Bine's career more than Sori's and Bine really needs the points and to win a few rounds.

Not yet sure she'll play in NY but if she will, I hope for a Görges match though I can't imagine this could happen ....

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind

If there won't be a surprise, Sabine can reach to R16. In her last match, Sorana lost to Jelena who is out of form. Therefore I don't expect a tough match. Lets go Sabine

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind

Wow -- the two most unpredictable players on court "13".

For both of these players, how they are feeling at the moment means more than who is on the other side of the court. I won't be surprised by anything. I'm just glad I'm not the bookie who has to set the odds for this match.

Hopefully Bine has been able to put in the work and her injury won't be a factor.

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind

Is court 13 streamed?

This match could be a real crapfest if both have a bad day.

Jelena made the Final of Dallas and Cirstea is not that bad at times, first round will be very tough.

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind

She arrived in NYC! Phew! And she practiced in Flo and NYC already!
Prospects are the same as every tourney: If she's 90% healthy, she'll be able to go far (rd.4 and further...) but theres always the "but" with my fav'girl

Nevertheless and as usual: All my fingers crossed for her
...and happy to be able to watch finally ONE match with "sunny".

Com'on girl, blow us put of the water!!!

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind

really don't know who is more undescribable, new york city or bine

as eb white noted in here is new york "It is a miracle that [Sabine] works at all. The whole thing is implausible."

too bad haven't got chance to visit nyc during the open
