2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
With Sabine not able to defend her title in Dallas, it's onwards to New York City. I'm pretty excited! Hopefully no injuries, or rust and her serve makes it's way to the Big Apple with her.
Auf geht's, Bine!

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
Her start in New Your is still endangered. Still no sign of her about her health or something... Don't know why, but I fear the worst

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
Let's hope not. She has some serious points to defend no? If my memory serves me correctly she reached the 4th round right? Or am I totally making that up?
Edit: Just checked-- yep, reached 4R last year.

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
4th round of GS is quite a good amount of points. In Sabine's case, defend of these points will be very difficult.

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
H2h is awful, she never won against Cirstea but often choked!
Tashkent final she had MPs, if I remember right, then last year she served for the match and lost and third time she had to retire, so...
Anyway, Cirstea is herself, never know what u get, same with Sabine, I expect an ugly match over three sets but sure, could be that Sabine goes out.
Tatishvili or Foretz on the other hand are both more than beatable if Sabine should win
edit: possible 3rd round vs Görges

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
lets be optimistic. Maybe the brainless moron who cant keep a ball in play version of cirstea will show up. She should win her second round if she gets past the first round and then julia has a horrible record in 3rd rounds
so i could see her defending her 4th round..but maybe im being to optimistic

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
Tough first round but I see her in R4 if she can make it through this one.

Re: 2012 US Open: Empire State of Mind
Oh no...Sori and then Julia...I always hate it if some of my faves play each other
It's good news for Bine though regarding R1, on a bad day (which are common) Sori is beyond brainless and will lose to absolutely everyone.
