Who else is still on a MASSIVE high. Biggest slam high for me since 2007 AO.
2008 USO, 2009 Wim, 2012 Wim were all really satisfying but this is just on another level. Olympics were up there too. This has been the BEST Serena summer!

Barely had any sleep the past 2 days I can't believe she pulled of the comeback on a final and at the USO. I thought something like this would only happen in Melbourne or London. NY has not been good to her since 2008. Hopefully she gets over her RG block too.
Did actually choke up when she won last night. So proud of her and what she has accomplished since she's come back last year.

I just realized that this was the first 3 setter she played at the USO since Mauresmo in '06. All of her wins and losses 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 were straight sets. Funnest match she's played at this flop slam since her 2001 QF.
Yeah, I was just thinking about that too.
I'm glad she's keeping her 3 set record up too.
5-1 this year!
4 wins away from making this her most winningest season ever!

Y'all, I'm so happy! I'm a little annoyed I was unable to go through this incredible emotional rollercoaster with you guys. I watched the first set and then she played the second set. I wasn't nervous. Then the third set started and I had to LEAVE for a meeting. Was not happy.
I'm sitting in that damn meeting and I see that she gets broken early in the third set. Then I see that she breaks back. So, then, I tell myself I'm no longer going to look at my live scoring app. Fuck it. I look again eventually and she gets broken. :tear: then Vika holds. I was hurt...really hurt. I go on twitter while sitting in this meeting and then I see everyone freaking out. THEN SERENA BECOMES THE BOSS THAT SHE IS AND HOLDS....THEN BREAKS! I fist pumped and quietly said "c'mon" and the guy next to me kinda looked at me and chuckled (probably thought it was football related). Then Serena held again and broke again. I WAS DYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! Still so happy. HoudiniRena!

I was crying like a baby after match point. I was just so spent emotionally and it's all I could do I think my bf thought I was being a bit dramatic #thingsonlySerenafansget

It's definitely up there as one of the most special to me as a fan, Wimbledon Olympics and US Open runs have been very special as a Serena fan and I only respect her and adore her EVEN MORE. did not know that could happen

I can't chose. Like I posted in the random thoughts thread, I'm somewhat a newbie to tennis...only been a hardcore fan since 2008. But Wimbledon 2012 was her return to the top after her health scare, the Olympic win put her in the most prestigious of categories, and USO 2012 had an amazing comeback.
I couldn't dare break routine so I had to stay out of "Serena Slam" till the conclusion of the final. I just went back and read the live comments from the final in this thread- hilarious! Some serious doubters...lol (as was I). But big ups to Black Mamba- never waivered once and kept the faith!

I can't wait till ESPN or The Tennis Channel re-airs it so I can keep it on my TiVo. As a rule of thumb I can't keep matches where Mary Carillo is commentating...
