Serena is only human. She's in New York at her own home slam so of course she wants support. I didn't realize how this affected the sisters until Venus said after her Kerber match it was the first time she really felt American at the US Open. I mean that's a damn shame. She may not get the support she wants but it was good for her to say it at least.

In 2008 they were really supporting her in the final. I hope they get behind her tomorrow night.

I didn't realize how much Serena and Venus felt about how they're perceived at the Open until Venus said what she said either. Normally, they just go on with their business and don't mention it.
