If I saw correctly, Maria landed in Vika's half... And she drew Petra in her quarter  Honestly, not the best combination, but we'll see.

Kvitova in the QF is about as good as it gets for Maria. Kvitty might've played better in USOS this year than last year but she's still wildly inconsistent. |

I'm actually not sure that Kvitova will make it that far. She's playing three straight weeks going in, I think she's overplayed and will be tired and get upset early.

First potential seed for Maria Sharapova is Anabel Medina Garrigues. Nice opening week for her.
(Chance for USTA WC winner Mallory Burdette to make a little run. Opens up vs Bacsinszky, then gets Medina Garrigues. Then Sharapova.)

We'd better never hear the Willytards complain about cakewalk draws again Virtually ALL of the big title contenders are with Maria in the top half (Kvitova, Azarenka, Clijsters, Li, Stosur) while Serena's biggest competition in the bottom half is Radwanska and Kerber

Not saying Maria wouldn't have to be at her best to beat Petra but on hard courts Maria at her best beats her. 
Besides it's not players we need to be worrying about, we need four night matches to get to the QF. Even fucking Cadantu is a threat during the day.
