Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Ashley Keir and Nives Baric had some good results in Thailand a couple months back. I think they also have a big AMT in Cairns before this tournament - that might influence WC decisions.

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Okay so yeah the entry list for Cairns is now very weak. There will hardly be any internationals in the qualifying draw. Bring on the bloated Aussie ranking!

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
The Rockhampton entry list is out too. One interesting name: Alexandra Stevenson and she's there as Priority 1. Surely she won't be playing in Rocky. Would be cool though

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
So Rogowska will be out of Cairns now which leaves us with Jones, Adamczak, Bobusic, Holland, Peers (all should be in the seedings) and Tammi Patterson scraping into the MD Direct + Wildcards TBA tonight/tomorrow...
Shame to see Steph Bengson, Teiwa Casey, Vicky Rajicic, Abbie Myers, Marisa Gianotti all on the withdrawals list....
Great chance four our girls ranked 7-1200 to qualify and pick up some easy points...

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
^ why isn't Steph Bengson playing? Is it possible that if she gets a REALLY high ranked player she can play in USO?

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
^ Who would play with her? The answer would be no. Would be good if they had qualies for doubles at all the Slams though.
Hopefully Jarka plays a few of these tournaments. She needs points badly. Unless she has resigned herself to a future as a doubles specialist

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
WCs have gone to Hadzic, Wallace, Bains and Cabrera. i'm pretty happy with that, no complete randoms, and a few new names (i think Hadzic is the only one who has been given WCs before)
and really Sanders, Keir and maybe Baric should qualify so i'm not too fussed they missed out this time

Re: Aussie ITF circuit 2012/2013
Simonds could be a withdrawal also if she keeps winning in the US Open quallies.
Ive seen Larriere play in Australia earlier this year and I was quite impressed. Therefore I expect she would take down likes of Peers, Holland and Monique if their form is average.

Kinda glad...extra points for qualifying will come in handy and she will have some matches to do damage in the main draw
