Apologies in advance if I'm helping stir this whole thing up again. Whatever your opinion, I doubt Laura qualifies for one under the current regime, even if it did get liberalised a bit after last year's Kvitova debacle.

The rules are that the Admins (mods don't have that kind of power) will consider making new player sub-sections after Wimbledon (or during, if someone without a player forum makes it to the final) and in the off season. As a rule of thumb, you're not going to get one unless you're highly ranked/successful and very popular. Laura more than meets the second criterion in hilarious fashion (Laura's gotten about 1050 posts in her threads this year, Kerber 1112 in her cheering thread). If popularity/traffic was the key factor in giving out subsections Laura should (and probably would) already have one. However, despite this awesome run she's been having, Laura hasn't got the tour credentials to warrant a subsection. Maybe this time next year, but certainly not now.

Anne will lose her subsection before Laura gets one. She doesn't get enough posts to justify keeping it.

When we start getting 10 pages worth of comments on a daily basis in Laura's thread we can start thinking about a subforum. At the moment it would just be an inconvenience, just like Anne's forum is an inconvenience. I vote to remove Anne's forum and not make any new forums. I hate webforums that have lots of empty forums/categories instead of a few busy ones.
