Wenn man zu den zuschauerarmen WTA-Turnieren mal als Kontrast die heutige Wintersportübertragung der ARD ansieht, dann sieht man was viele Zuschauer und Super-Stimmung ausmachen, sowohl in Zakopane als auch in Ruhpolding und wie wichtig Veranstaltungen für die heimischen Sportler sind.
So etwas will der Zuschauer sehen und nicht Tennis-Turniere, wo ich die Zuschauer per Handschlag begrüßen kann.

Wir brauchen

1) mindestens noch ein zusätzliches WTA-Turnier. Stuttgart allein reicht nicht
2) Fed Cup ist auch sehr wichtig. Siege bei Heimspielen machen Schlagzeilen

Wenige WTA-Turniere/Fed Cup-Partien im eigenen Land -> wenig Fans

Richtig. Aber das gilt prinzipiell für alle Länder dieser Welt, die irgendwo tennisrelevant sind.

Aber nur in der WG 1 und davon ist Deutschland noch ein ganzes Stück entfernt.
Das Thema Fed Cup und TV dürfte sich nach dem Abstieg eh erstmal erledigt haben.

Kein Wunder, dass bei so einer Verteilung die WTA seit über 15 Monaten vergeblich nach einem Hauptsponsor sucht.

Und 75% bis 80% der Top 100 SPieler kommt aus Europa.
Die ATP hat verstanden, die WTA kapiert mal wieder gar nichts. Aber Hauptsache die Kohle stimmt.

Ist wohl zu teuer. Wie viele andere wollen denn in Europa? Nen bisschen mehr Nord- und Südamerika könnte auch nicht schaden, solange es keine Night Sessions gibt.
