.
Hey again

Does anyone here understand French? There are many articles from March that say something about Eurosport or their owner TF1 and Roland Garros 2014. It gives me the feeling that they might give up the rights already before next year? Maybe someone could google those articles?

Really hope it's only about Eurosport France. It would be a small disaster in other parts of Europe.

If I remember correctly TF1 is selling Eurosport to Discovery. It's quite hard to say if there is any tennis on Eurosport in the future.

I found this here: http://www.challenges.fr/sport/20130...nd-garros.html

But I think, it's more about the situation in France.

I read one from March, it was called "Roland Garros sur TF1 en 2014". I believe it was something about TF1's financial troubles and that they were looking for someone to buy the rights for next year.

But I don't really understand French.

It just occured to me that are they even showing RG in France on Eurosport, but on some free-channels on TF1?

There is the same situation in the UK. ITV has shown RG and also British Eurosport.

Till 2013 France Télévisions has the rights for RG in France and was the host broadcaster. According to the articles that could change from 2014. But I don't think that this will affect the Eurosport coverage, at least the coverage from Eurosport International.
