WTA question on British TV show

Just watching a TV show called Pointless on British TV.

They give you a topic,in this case Wimbledon Ladies Finalist since 2000, and you have to guess which is the least popular answer. They ask 100 random people and this is where they get the numbers from.

Well apparently here are some of the results I remembered:

0 - Lisicki

0 - Zvonareva

1 - Kvitova

3 - Henin-Hardenne

I can't remember what the number was for Bartoli but I think it was under 5.
Is WTA so unpopular in Britain that no-one remembers Lisicki was in the final last year??? And just 1 person remembers Kvitova won in 2011?

Re: WTA question on British TV show

Bartoli had 9, I think. Davenport only had three, as well.

I was surprised Justine was so low.

Re: WTA question on British TV show

I'd love to know the other numbers, would be interesting.

I thought if there is 1 thing the British public know about WTA then it is Wimbledon but those numbers were disappointingly low. In the same way that hardly anyone knew that Watson won a WTA title in 2012.

I hadn't seen pointless in ages but it really is an eye opener to what the public know. 1/3 of people didn't know who the Deputy Prime Minister was lol.

Oh well

That's not who he asks to get the results for his questions.

Here's one example. I was watching it one evening and there was a question on Movie Soundtracks. Right I said to myself, I'm sure I'll get close to a pointless answer here. You should've seen the pointless answers and even the answers the contestants gave that were deemed incorrect. The host looked confused and asked the guy sitting at the computer "Who did you ask the general public?" NO was his answer. I asked "TheblablaMovieBuffs Club". (the blabla bit is because I don't/can't recall the exact name of the club. Alexander Armstrong looked really surprised when he was told this. I never watched it again since.
