Amen
( sorry for the german comment ( try a translater or ignore it) but I have a significant sleep lack / impossible to express myself in english right now! and writing in a german part of a panel called "sprechen sie deuce" it must be allowed ... )

Jabeur is RG 2011 girls champion , Wimbledon girls QF and US Open girls SF .So it can't be an easy R1 for Sabine

Ich kenn niemanden der mit der Auslosung für die eigenen Favoriten zufrieden ist.
Draw lamenting should be an Olympic sport. Hehe.

Transition from juniors is not that easy. She's only 17 and Sabine has much more experience and confidence on grass. I think it will be an interesting match but not an upset. Are you rooting for Jabeur?

Kerber/Lisicki hopefully on TV court as they play Watson/Robson in R1 and possibly Venus/Serena in R2!

But she's still a junior. Lacks the experience Sabine has.

Re: 2012 Summer Olympics - London Calling!
Draw is OK, Görges and Barthel have much bigger Draw problems.
Only Kerber has a great Draw for the first rounds, but she is seeded #7 and the Carebear (Glücksbärchi)
1R Jabeur?
I have no clue who she is, which is a goog thing i suppose.
We all know Bine can beat them all or get beaten by everyone, so we will see what happens, like always.

Highly unlikely. This matchup looks quite unattractive for tv, everything but a 6-1 6-2 blowout would be a surprise. So I don't expect tv coverage. Unless, Olympic tv courts are distributed differently to Wimbledon and they put it on a tv court to have at least on Tunisian match on tv. But still, no way this match makes it on CC or C1, so it won't have it's own tv channel. If it is on a tv court indeed, German broadcasters might stream it online.

Ons Jabeur on facing @sabinelisicki: "I'm going to see some videos on YouTube for sure. I'm going to be prepared 100%."

that would indeed be a surprise but i wish Sabine wouldn't think that way on court, remember Caroline Garcia almost took out Masha in RG last year,
i wouldn't mind if she wins 4 and 4

I really think the Olympics should cover ALL matches. More than in any other tournament this time players are not watched (only) for their ranking or for fave reasons but for their nationality.
They don't even use all show courts (e.g. I think court 3 is not an Olympic court). It's pretty mystifying, but tennis fans are used to this mysery. Still annoying.
And, no, I don't believe we will be able to see the first round. This is probably the one match that is definitely not on a show court. Nobody seems to know Jabeur. (Isn't Jabeur a WC?) So no show/TV court IMO. Hopefully that motivates Sabine to get to R2 quickly. A match against Shvedova is more likely on a bigger court.

While I somewhat agree, that it would be nice to have every match covered. Still, this is the Olympics and they are not just about tennis, not by far. The BBC will have 3 dedicated HD channels for tennis (more HD tennis than you could get for Wimbledon this year), I think that's fine. And even if not all matches on tv courts are live on those 3 channels, you still might get a local web stream from your broadcaster. So if e.g. a German is playing on C2, but it's not on one of the BBC's channels, it still might be streamed on the web by ARD/ZDF.

I think that's perfectly fine. They are using 12 of the 19 courts for the tournament, and the remaining 7 as practice courts. Aorangi (practice courts during the Championships) is not used for the Olympics. I think it's fine to have one of the bigger courts as practice court.
Also, while during the Championships they have 443 matches in the 5 (senior's) main draws, for the Olympics it's only 208 matches (in 9 days, instead of 13). And, all the men's matches (minus one) are only best of 3 and not best of 5.
Proportionately, I think, you will be able to see more of the tennis at the Olympics than at the Championships.
