OK so I finished watching Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena and I liked it. I think it was Trih who I was talking to about it earlier, luckily for me I don't have the Vengeance season (yet). What makes it so bad? Of course having to replace the actor for your main character seldomly means good things for a series.

It just got worse on every aspect. I really don't know where to start, for example - strangely, as you said - the change of the main actor isn't remotely one of the worse things.
It seems they didn't know what to do after the end of the first season, the script just got confused and they had to invent some scenes which I just found awkward.
I still finished to watch it because once I started I wanted to know how it ended, but I won't be going on to the next (if there is one), and that's the opinion of everyone I know that watched it. :-\

Well, historically Spartacus does have a lot left to do so they could have another season. However, many friends of mine said they aren't sure how they could continue it after then ending. I haven't seen it personally. I genuinely enjoyed the first series even though the pilot with the Roman's talking with pirate accents made me think it would be shit. But the characters were great and a lot of good plot lines.

It seems though that everyone just talked about the gore and sex so in the other two that's all it was. They were just trashy and pretty low quality TBH.

With the other two, do you mean Gods of the Arena and Vengeance? I just watched the former and I don't think it featured a lot more vulgarity than season 1. I ended up being just as hooked to watch it unfold as season 1. I do think it was vital for GotA to feature a strong character from BaS such as Crixus in it, otherwise many people would have been turned off by the prequel I think.

I did mean Vengeance, it's not that it features it solely. Just that it takes it to truly ridiculous levels and the plot lines aren't as much of the focus. Maybe it's just me, the different actor didn't help but it just didn't get me from the start. Oh and Trih, the next season War of the Damned will be the last.

Oh I see. Yeah I don't think I'll be watching Vengeance then. I like the plotlines of season 1 and 2 a lot, it's what keeps you hooked on the series mostly IMO.

I didn't know there was another season coming. Do you know when it airs?

Hmm well I haven't watched DBZ in a looong time, since I was little basically. I think I only saw from the start to as far as the episodes with Majin Buu, not sure if that's already GT.
