Maybe you'll go to heaven too, because you also gave me a good rep.

Biggest posts deserve biggest smiles.
But seriously, besides that ... Chrissie basically made me understand I was going to become like GM demons, hating a player or liking a player just because of the love for/the hate against them on Tennisforum. I just have to make up my mind and start thinking with my own.

We can be happy about the Silver Medal! In fact, we should be very pleased with the Silver Medal! It just depends on your perspective. Rather than responding to someone else's perspective, just tout your own!

For example, at the start of the Olympic Tournament, the general mood in SS was that Pova couldn't play on grass. Lost her grass court game...

Well, guess what? Pova can play on grass! She can play very well on grass!

She got her revenge on Bine.

She was successful in denying Serenka the Double Bagel.

She was a Finalist and earned her Silver Medal. Not many SS posters even gave her a chance to do that!

Pova is having a great year indeed. Going deep in all her tournys, dominating Red Clay with three titles including a Major at Roland Garros, completed her Career Slam, got the #1 Rank for a while and made it all glow with Silver. What a great performance and the year still has a bunch of opportunities!

What do you think, will Pova drive her White Porsche around Montreal?

I could care less what negative posters say on GM. They just want to be mad and spew hate. Ignore them. Don't respond to it. Let the mad dogs gnash their teeth and chase their tails.

Great post. I say let's forget the haters, (nothing we say will change their behavior anyway) enjoy the silver medal and focus on Montreal

Re: London 2012 - Mission: Olympic Glory & Career Golden Slam!

Getting a silver medal was something to be proud of in 2008 for the Russians, look at how proud Kirilenko was for getting BRONZE in the doubles. Fuck the bashers they can suck something vile, Maria got to the final with great play through the whole tournament and the hunger to achieve something playing for her country unlike some!!

Once again, Chrissie-fan make the correct call!

As I posted on your ARad hate thread in GM, I hope you will either change your behavior or find another player to support. Your hate mongering is not consistent with being a Pova fan.

1) People always tend to notice a players' most annoying fans more than the nice or 'normal' ones. The most effective way of getting attention at GM is to be a pain in the ass. Plus several of the nicest Caro fans don't even bother posting at GM to begin with.

2) Every fanbase suffers from people that present themselves as fans, but are in fact haters who by way of exaggerated claims of greatness try to turn everyone against the player they claim to be a fan of. The ones that when the Caro hate at GM was at it's highest ever peak predicted that soon she would start winning slams all over the place. They knew this was nonsense, but they hoped that by being as annoying as possible they could make the hate for her even stronger. If you doubt that these people exist, just go back two months immediately after Maria won the FO. All of a sudden there were new Sharapova trolls that nobody had ever heard from before but tried to be a pain in the ass. I remember even the real Maria fans being annoyed by them. One or two of them tried to turn me against Maria by saying vile things about Caro whenever I said something nice about Maria. I didn't give a fuck because I've been a TF member long enough to know how these things work. They have since disappeared without a trace.

3) The story of the chicken or the egg, or are Caro fans annoying out of self-defense for the hate she receives? Or does Caro get so much hate because her fans are annoying? I may not be entirely impartial in this, but.......What you guys have now been experiencing for the last couple of days in terms of hate, Caro fans have had to endure for almost three years. In the last couple of months it's eased up a bit because Caroline has to use the preferred vocabulary of GM become "irrelevant." Now the hate only raises it's ugly head whenever she has played a match. But there was literally an almost three year period when there were a multitude of Caro hate threads on a daily basis. Question is, in the light of all that non-stop unrelenting hate, could/can Woz fans be expected to just take it on the chin like I have always done for all these years? Even IF some Caro fans are annoying, they still only account for 10% of all Caro related posts at GM. The other 90% consists of post where Caro is mocked, a multitude of gifs like the Sharapova one (but some of them even meaner than that one) and posts where Caro fans are basically called idiots for even liking her.
Kind of proving the point I just made

It's so true though, about posters who troll for players they hate in order to get others to hate them. The sad part is that it works. I was a pretty big Wozniacki fan from like spring 2009-summer of 2010. Then a) she beat Sharapova at the US Open (call me pathetic, but I hated her for it), b) she got to the #1 ranking and never won the big one, and c) her game didn't really seem to evolve to me. That coupled with the obnoxious trolls who used to post on here and I started to hate her. Nowadays I'm pretty neutral, and now that she's in a slump I'm pulling for her to get back to the top because I feel she is a very, very good player. And there's nothing I love more than an underdog.

Even if I wasn't a big fan of Caro but I kind of liked her when she wasn't #1 yet, and then it happened to me the same exact thing.

Well, by the looks of it you won't be facing that dilemma anything soon anymore when it comes to Caro.

I still dislike Caro not her as a person though, I just hate her style of play that's all and that will never change. I dislike pushers and It's not my fault Caro is one .

Indeed if she improves her game she would go up instead of going down
