The commentator said it all with this sentence: There can only be one winner, and it's Maria Sharapova! Her fighting qualities and mental strength never cease to amaze me. That smile from ear to ear in the end said it all  Plus, she maintained her perfect 3-set winning record in 2012

They played decent in the first but Maria got tight in the big moments. Lisicki came up with lucky shots like fucking crazy. I'm not hating, it's just true. Maria raised her game after going down a break in the second and Lisicki could only keep up for so long. She was actually pretty passive in this match compared to Wimbledon.

I admit. I did doubt, curse, jump of my seat, insult Maria (I do that to all my faves when they drive me crazy), turn off the stream, joke, laugh etc... Guilty. But still so so so so happy that she made it somehow! Thank you Mash! Wuw ya!

I never doubted she would win this match, even after losing that first set. Granted, I also didn't think she'd lose that Wimbledon match, but that's besides the point
