Re: Rosmalen - Unicef Open 2012
Kim needs to play as many matches as possible before Wimbledon. Keep improving
Oh, and I think I saw Alison Van Uytvanck supporting Kim.

Re: Rosmalen - Unicef Open 2012
Nice to see Kim get a win under her belt after being out for 3 months. Really beneficial for her to get a few matches in going into Wimbledon. So I'm pleased she didn't get knocked out right away

Re: Rosmalen - Unicef Open 2012
Apparently Kim was at Flipkens' match today and cried when she beat Stosur. Very nice of Kim.

Re: Rosmalen - Unicef Open 2012
Kim won 6-2/6-1!!
she played really well! some very good points, 3 aces again, serving very well, even an ace at 176km/h, that's harder than she's ever hit I think

Solid win. Impressed with Kim's movement today. Just so happy to see her on court again.

Re: Rosmalen - Unicef Open 2012
Kim played really well. She still had some rust but for her second match in three months I was impressed. Her movement looked good (despite a couple slips) and her serving was awesome. I'd really like to see her win this title seeing as how she hasn't won one in over a year.

QF against Schiavone. Kim leads the H2H 11-0, 22-0 in sets.

Re: Rosmalen - Unicef Open 2012
I went to Rosmalen today! No match for Kim today, but I saw her there last year so that softened the pain
however, when I was walking around, there was this special press conference only for kids (it was kids day today), and the two players being interviewed were Robin Haase and .... Kim!!
she was really sweet with the kids, and I have to correct myself from yesterday, she said herself her fastest serve was probably 185km/h
her favourite male players are Nadal and Ferrer (because they are fun) and she would like to have dinner with Roger Federer to ask him how he does it playing so great
her favourite food is all healthy food and sushi, and apart from tennis her biggest hobby is being around her family and spending time with Jada
fun to hear the kids ask different questions from all the regular journalist questions
I'll post some more pics from that tomorrow, they're on my mobile phone, but here's two from Kim exiting after the "press conference"
I walked behind her when she left, thinking she would immediately go to the players room, and I wanted to go watch Flipkens on Court 1 (next to players entrance) but I really really slapped myself when I saw someone else asking her for a picture but I was too slow to ask her one... (and too shy and stupid), and then she also got into the stands to watch Flipkens. I was really mad at myself for not asking her a picture, since I wanted this for sooo long

(not my pic )
I saw her sitting there all the time, nervous and excited for Kirsten , not many people knew she was there, so I thought, after the match, I'll go to the players entrance and see if I can ask her a picture then... I was lucky to get out quickly and that Kim wasn't in a hurry to leave her seat
so when she exited with her bodyguard I just asked 'Kim can I please take a picture with you' and she politely answerd 'yes of course'
I know it's seems kind of stupid for a 25 year old to be so excited about this, but since I was like 13, I really really wanted a pic with Kim but I never got to take one, until today!! the pic is a bit blurry and it shows Kim's used to pose for pictures and I'm not but still, I'm reallly happy this even beats seeing Kim play

Re: Rosmalen - Unicef Open 2012
ow, I forgot one of the questions, funny one
one of the kids asked what was their biggest blooper, Haase & Kim looked at each other laughing, not knowing what to say, but then Kim said she knew
last year, she had a couple of days off, so they went on a safari in Australia with her family and whole team. They had a great day, saw a lot of things and when they got back, there was a group of tourists there and they came over to Kim's group, and asked Kim to take a picture.
Kim said she said 'OK, no problem' and went to the group, posing with them...
only to realise by the looks on their face they didn't want to take a picture with her but they wanted Kim just to take a picture of them
she felt really stupid afterwards
