The last time Maria played a 3-setter in Wim was 3 years ago, against Dulko.
In her career, She only played 5 match with 3 set in Wimbledon (2 won, 3 lose)

Razzano could potentially be tough but Serena played awful and Razzano played the match of her life. As much as I'd love to see her get a beatdown to avenge Serena's loss she's not reaching the third round unless she get lucky

Pironkova could be tough but I don't think slices affect sharapova as much as they do Venus

Re: [Wimbledon 2012] What does Moo eat? Grass!

I know Maria today is >>>>>> Maria 2010 but Razzano played her very tough that AO in a very high quality match. She lives for the big stage so I wouldn't expect an easy victory should they play. But I also feel she'll need luck to get to R3.

ESPN writer's picks for Wimbledon: http://espn.go.com/sports/tennis/picks

Chrissie did not pick Maria. All the criticism she got for being biased to Maria got on her.

Yeah,5 other people picked her though, all of whom picked Serena at the French..As a side note what's with all the Federer picks for the men's side..I mean I like him okay but there's been nothing to indicate a slam win..

Yup, I agree. I was surprised how they all confidently picked up Serena to win RG (when she hasn't had that much success on RG lately + she is in a "fragile" state of her career) and now I am surprised at how many people pick up Roger when he is not even close to winning a Slam...
