Congrats Maria Sharapova on winning RG 2012, completing the career grand slam and returning to #1. It's been rocky, but you presevered!
To be honest my love/hate for Maria comes and goes depending on how well she's doing and or not doing.
I can't believe HOW COMPLETELY HAPPY I AM FOR HER RIGHT NOW!!!!

Credit to Errani, she played really well apart from the first four games when obviously the nerves got the better of her. She pushed Maria all the way through since then but just couldn't handle the power on a regular basis. But she did better in her Slam final then Safina in all hers combined, no meltdown, just going for it like it's any other match. Well played Errani!!!
That was as hard-earned 63 62 in a GS final you can imagine!!! 52 minutes for a 62 set confirms how much guts Errani showed out there today. Safinas and Zvonarevas of this world should watch and learn!!!

She deserved it, no more to say really. Errani tried her best but wasnt good enough. Tremendous fight in the last game.

Maria played so well, I'm so happy for her after all she's gone through - the shoulder, the two GS finals that she was routined in, etc.
A career slam, what an amazing achievement.
