I'm not sure about FIRST round... she often seems to start sort of nervy in Slams these days I'd be happy if she got Venus in the second round though.

Radwanska and Pennetta? Really? Those pushers won't give her any rhythm or match practice... I want a tough draw, not scrubs who happened to beat Shitpova a couple of times

Re: Roland Garros 2012: Moo fighting for glory on the red dirt !

Hoping for Date-Krumm first round (revenge/level that H2H!), Oudin second round (ditto), Petrova third round (should give her a good match but would choke if in a winning position), Safarova fourth round (see Oudin/Date Krumm), Li QFs, Kvitova SFs and Stosur final (who would've beaten Serena en route ).

As much as I want Radwanska to get the beatdown that's coming to her, I want her kept out of a Slam semifinal even more Revenge for that one will have to wait for Cincinnati or something.

Re: Roland Garros 2012: Moo fighting for glory on the red dirt !

on a serious note, I like how many of us are taking for granted that Claypova would easily cruise the draw and get to the final even bookmarking her opponents to face her at which stage yada yada (steven )

then we would cry like a little bitch once she is crushed at some point...we never learn

I don't take anything for granted. Since her comeback I appreciate every achievement of hers.

Some never learn I should say.

There are plenty of fans that take it one match at a time as well, and that don't turn into whining idiots if Maria loses.
She's looking really good going into this year's Roland Garros, but we never know if she will have one of those horrible matches in there somewhere. Her last two Slam finals have been pretty bad, and her nemesis Serena is also in the draw.

One match at a time, that's how I always take it.

Re: Roland Garros 2012: Moo fighting for glory on the red dirt !

Nervous/excited for the draw tomorrow! There are people I would prefer her to avoid but i'm ready for whatever draw she'll get. Do think it would be better for her to get a tough draw as in the past, when she's had an easy draw, it hasn't done her any good later on in the tournament.

Even though I'm excited for this French Open, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, as last year, I got my hopes and thought she was gonna win it so when she lost in the semis, I was gutted.

So like others have said, I'm just taking it one match at a time and hopefully it'll go our way this year.
