Lost in the semi's of 25k Koksijde to Hogenkamp 67(1) 46
Great year for Quirine already and she is playing 25k Woking next week where she will be in the MD!
First time she is directly into a 25k MD I believe. Great that she is now able to make that step and be one of our new Dutch players at challenger level Her ranking will go up to around 355 next monday and in 2 weeks it should be around 320 hopefully she can add even more points to that in Woking
After winning 15 matches in a row I lost today 7-6(1) 6-4. Wasnt my best match but she played solid and smart on important points. I kept fighting but it was not possible to win. It feels good that my level is getting better and better. Overall I played a good tournament this week and I am looking forward to play the $25.000 in Woking (GBR) next week. I will be in main draw there. Tomorrow going to England with the ferry and having a couple of days to practice on hardcourt!
Quirine reached the quarters in Woking before losing 0 and 3 to Ana Bogdan
After 2 weeks of practice/rest Quirine is embarking on a new trip of tournaments, playing 10k Rotterdam this week and 25k Alphen aan den Rijn and 50k Saint Malo in the next weeks. She has been playing loads of tournaments and matches already this year so hopefully she keeps taking notice of her health as well playing against Brandy Mina tomorrow in Rotterdam, she is the top seed. Good luck
After a few weeks off, Kiwi started this week in 50k Joue-les-Tours. Her 1st 50k I'd think.
Her ranking was enough for direct entry in MD.
She def Hesse (WTA 199) 6-4 6-3 in R1 and today she def the nr 7 seed Beygelzimer in 2 TB
QF against the experienced Razzano (WTA 201)
Nice to see Kiwi is having a great season. Started just inside top 800 and will be in top 300 now
After a 3 set loss at 25k Plantation and 2 missed Florida tournaments due to a wrist injury, Kiwi has gone up North and into the snow to my lovely Midland where my uncle and his family have been living for the last 22 years and their house is exactly one mile from the tennis centre Anyway, Kiwi had a tough task today, namely save her US trip by beating her R1 opponent, Chieh-Yu Hsu of Chinese Taipei. she did just that, but had to fight hard to pull out a 36 76(4) 76(2) win. She sealed it on her first MP too. Scored her first 100k MD win and 13 points for her ranking R2 is probably played tomorrow against Caitlin Whoriskey who beat Jabeur. Good luck Quirine
