I mean the conditions are too different comparing to RG and Stutt. Madrid Rome and Paris...isnt too much for her standard?

Re: Mutua Madrid Open 2012
Its a Premier Mandatory. So I guess she HAS to play. Though she can skip it of course.
But the more matches, the better?!

Re: Mutua Madrid Open 2012
I thought she would've tanked Stuttgart so my feelings are not to be trusted, but I think she may not want to go that deep in this tournament, which is really atipical (blue clay, altitude, still so many question marks about the surface).. I don't think she'll skip it, but she will probably play without caring too much. Rome's next after all!

Re: Mutua Madrid Open 2012
@Rerun: yeah I agree with you. I don't like Madrid in the first place anyway.
But I don't think you can skip a PM just like that. And I guess Maria would play here.

Re: Mutua Madrid Open 2012
I would actually like two easy opponents in the earlier rounds at least.
The conditions at Madrid don't suit her, so playing easier opponents would actually get her some practice to defeat the tougher ones, IMO.

Re: Mutua Madrid Open 2012
^ Ok, thanks! I'm hoping for a kinder draw than the one she got in Stuttgart, so that she won't have to waste too many energies in the early rounds!

She lost a set to Rus last year?
I am really excited for this tournament... Can't wait to see the blue clay in action.

Re: Mutua Madrid Open 2012
Maybe she decides to skip this and have a go in Rome.
She won't reach back-to-back semis in Rome and Madrid that's for sure .
