It is a Serena-Vika final. Hopefully Serena wins the title leaving Vika empty handed in a final yet again, karma is a bitch.

I don't think Maria has a bad draw, even though McHale as her first opponent can be dangerous: she has already defeated Wozniacki and Kvitova in the past year! On the other hand I don't want Maria to play Niculescu, because she's such a tricky opponent, that can disrupt your rythm with all those chops and slices! Another match vs Stosur would be great in the QF!

I'll be in Rome next Thursday until the following Monday. If I have wi-fi in the hotel, I'll write some reports for you guys. I have tickets for the QFs on Friday and the Fs on Sunday! Hopefully Maria will be playing on both those days!

I thnk Schiavone may start playing stellar tennis here just because it's Rome and then go back sucking right after RG! So she may upset Venus, even if they have a very lopsided H2H! I'd love to see Maria play Venus too and for the SFs (I know I'm getting a bit ahead here) the most likely opponents will be Kerber/Kvitova!

Rome has great coverage on Eurosport and Eurosport 2 so we shouldn't miss any match.

I like the draw. I'd like a R3 vs Ivanovic Qf vs Venus and semi vs Kerber but maybe it isn't the most likely scenario.
Before the draw I really wanted a semi or something against Serena, I think Maria would have a big chance there.
The most annoying thing about the draw is that once again the halves are Maria-Petra and Vika-Radwanska which is getting pretty boring.

Anyway I'm pretty excited for this tournament. Let's go
