So, if UCLA gets swept this weekend, will they still be #1? I'm going to take a wild stab and guess yes.
If UCLA gets swept this weekend, Stanford will be undefeated with wins over UCLA, Florida, and USC. If UCLA remains #1 the rankings need SERIOUS changing.

Re: Big California Matches #1 UCLA & # 4 USC play #6 Stanford & #10 Cal, Friday and S

thx! Is Gibbsy taller than Zoe?
(did Zoe kneel, acknowledging the defeat or did Gibbsy wear a high-heel shoes )

No. 6 Stanford 4, No. 4 USC 2

SINGLES
1) No. 3 Nicole Gibbs (STAN) d. No. 20 Zoe Scandalis (USC) 7-6 (4), 6-2
2) No. 7 Mallory Burdette (STAN) d. No. 23 Danielle Lao (USC) 6-3, 6-1
3) No. 33 Sabrina Santamaria (USC) d. No. 52 Stacey Tan (STAN) 7-5, 6-1
4) No. 57 Ellen Tsay (STAN) d. Kaitlyn Christian (USC) 6-0, 6-1
5) Veronica Li (STAN) d. Gabriella DeSimone (USC) 7-5, 6-2
6) Alison Ramos (USC) d. Natalie Dillon (STAN) 0-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4
Order of Finish: 4, 3, 2, 5, 1, 6

NID?

And Alison, being BAGELLED BY NATALIE??? You who've beaten Maria Mosolova twice?
Well, a win is a win, but #6 against CAL and UCLA is an automatic pt for them?

mantra: 'USC NEEDS POWER PLAYERS, USA NEEDS POWER PLAYERS'

Sabrina probably hits the hardest among the Trojans. Suggestive, maybe?

Natalie played well that first set, I saw the last 3 games of set 1 and she was playing so well and just hitting winners and moving Ramos around.

...What? I'm not saying Stanford should be ranked #1 right now, I understand the reason they are not ranked #1 and yes, that is their fault. I was saying that if Stanford wins against UCLA tomorrow then that should be enough to put them at #1.

I was pointing out your incessant griping against the ranking system
I doubt you'll be so much interested were it not for the fact that it concerns Stanford

UCLA takes the doubles point from Stanford. Kind of surprising Anderson/Morton won at #1.

Definitely at the miracle required stage. Did Anderson have any MP in the *5-1 game?
