How does Alex get in direct to qualifying here and need a WC to last week's 50K qualifying? :lol

Re: Qualifying Draw

NOT another outrageous wc for that useless Alexandra Stevenson!?! She's ranked 330-something and this was no direct entry! WC to the Bahamas Open, the 50K in Osprey, and NOW into the Q event of a big tier event like this? This is insane. There were SO many more alts far far far more worthy than that half-baked used-up "Norma Desmond of the Bush Leagues."

The other players notice these privileges (however she is getting them -- through ludicrous threats of racism, perhaps?) and it's little wonder they go out of their way to grind her into the very dust.

I pray Larcher de Brito annihilates her.

Why don't they just hand her the Wimbledon trophy. I'm sure she feels entitled to it. She can put it next to her Oscar, her Emmy, her Grammy, and her Tony.

You mad boo? You're also wrong, Alex did get a direct entry. Not enough players showed up for the qualifying draw so they filled out the draw with lower ranked players on site. Hence why Uhlirova is in the draw and is ranked outside the top 1000.

Oh yeah, RIGHT. They may call it a "Direct Entry" ... a direct entry of smoke up someone's ass.

This is a no-brainer and the tour operates in selective ways like this: Stevenson was basically (and unofficially) "wild carded into a Direct Entry".

Gee, out of ALL the "lower ranked players on site", why did they pick Stevenson, specifically? Why her? Surely there were other "lower ranked players" (with better lowly rankings/results than hers) hanging about the site who wanted to help "fill out the draw," too.

Stevenson probably let the Mother tie her to a gigantic cross in the sign-in office, complete with a crown of thorns on her head, refusing to budge unless some exhausted official finally agreed to choose HER to "fill out the draw" over all the other "lower ranked players on site".

46 year-old Stevenson and her crackpot mother are well-reputed to badger, bully, whine-at, and threaten anyone on the pro circuit who gets in the way of Alexandra's 7-year "comeback" -- a comeback which hasn't amounted to half a runny squeeze of diddly-squat in those 7 agonizing years of horror & malaise.

Much more of their ludicrous, lingering nonsense and, next year, YOU will find yourself in San Diego at your favorite dining establishment (Olive Garden) and an old, pudgy, depressed waitress will approach your table and say: "Hi. My name is Alexandra. Would you care to enjoy our unlimited bread-sticks and salad ... or would you like the 9-Cheese ravioli special?"

(You'll go for the bread-sticks)

Re: Qualifying Draw

LOL are you on crack? They don't just fill up the Q draw with whoever they want. Players sign in on site and get in according to their ranks. Uhlirova & Grandin are ranked outside the top 1000, they couldn't have gotten in before Stevenson unless Alexandra didn't sign in.

This Q draw is absolutely feeble. Benesova and Cadantu look like they have turned up at the wrong event. And I agree it seems far less competitive than Osprey $50k main draw and qualies - shocking that Yung-Jan Chan ranked 132 should be seeded to make the main draw and players like Oudin, Stevenson, Klepac, Grandin, Ulihrova making the main draw and some really obscure WCs (Hayley Carter? Simone Kalhorn?). Clearly there has been a mega pull-out of epic proportions, how does the actual draw correlate to who was supposed to be turning up?

Since 27/3, gone are: Mirza, Kai Chen Chang, Gallovits (Osprey sf), Kudryavtseva (into MD?), Minella, Rus, Rodionova (all into MD presumably), Arrubarrena Vecino (Osprey or MD?), Voegele, Mladenovic, Karatantcheva (Osprey sf), Fujiwara....

So clearly there have also been some last minute pull-outs from the main draw too......
